THINGS TO DO WITH OUT-OF-TOWN VISITORS:
I love being able to bring people up to the roof top of the building I live in. It has one of the most breathtaking views of the skyline that I have ever seen. Watching fireworks on the roof for the Fourth of July up there is hands down one of my favorite nights each year.
Going on an architecture tour on the river is an experience unlike anything else. Not many other cities have so much history locked in such modern structures as we do in Chicago. I always love learning new fun and interesting facts about the city I call home.
Movies in the park are one of my favorite things to do with visitors on summer evenings. Grab some amazing carry-out or pack up a picnic and enjoy a movie outside. What more could you ask for?
On those less than stellar weather days, on of my favorite places to visit is the Art Institute. I have probably been more than a dozen times and always find something new I have never seen before.
PLACES I'LL GO SOMEDAY:
Greece. I have no idea where in Greece, but every time I see photos I am just in awe.
French Polynesia, for the same reason as the one above.
Ireland because I would love to explore the homeland of the Kelley’s
British Columbia. I have been lucky enough to explore part of the area once before, but would love to be able to have the opportunity to explore more of the area.
WHAT YOU LOVE ABOUT CHICAGO:
The lakeshore path is one of my favorite areas to go to for adventures, runs and bike rides.
SUMMER! You cannot beat a beautiful summer day in the city. It’s probably the sole reason why we all brave those chilly winter temperatures.
The FOOD here is amazing. There are constantly new restaurants to try and amazing eats can be found in some of the most unlikely of places.
The neighborhoods. My fiancé and I have so many great memories of when we were first dating getting lost in the beautiful neighborhoods. Each neighborhood has so much charm and character, I just love getting lost in them and finding some real hidden gems.
Serial - If you haven’t listened yet, do it!
Dirty John - I seriously cannot wait for this one to be made into a movie. Hope it doesn’t let me down!
Bitch Sesh - If you’re a person who is constantly watching Bravo, this is a must listen!
The Way I Heard It with Mike Rowe - Short stories about interesting people told by an incredible story teller, need I say more?
“Where do you think you're going? Nobody's leaving. Nobody's walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas. No, no! We're all in this together. This is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here! We're gonna press on, and we're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny Kaye! And when Santa squeezes his fat white butt down that chimney tonight, he's gonna find the jolliest bunch of a**h***s this side of the nuthouse!”

We have a Taproom! Last fall, we set out to construct a space that allowed us to present and communicate OutCold's physical brand. We do this all the time for our clients, so we sought after the opportunity to utilize our design and build team to create a space that represented the OutCold brand. And thus the birth of (Bull Mountain Taproom, a.k.a. BMT).
As you may know, we are a crew chalk-full of Kansas City expats with a huge affinity for KC BBQ. Well, we just wrapped up an awesome campaign with VML and the state of Tennessee Tourism and we have to admit that Memphis, its BBQ and its people now hold a special place in our heart. Let us explain.
You know us well enough by now to know we are a pretty wacky group of people with even wackier ideas. We’ve decided to funnel these (non-client related) experiments into one place here at OutCold. We're calling this magical, crazy place The OutCold Laboratory or "Labs" as listed on our site navigation.
We're midway through our Nordstrom Festival Tour. Two festivals down, two to go! We had a blast at SXSW (duh!) and Memphis' Beale Street Music Festival did not disappoint. If you saw us at either spot, thanks for having fun with us. If you missed out, wait no more. You can live vicariously through this blog.
